Welcome to the Clowder

We are a household with multiple black cats. That all started with Dorothy.

Dorothy was born in 2013 and originally named Smudge by her adopted family. Smudge was an outdoor cat and eventually became pregnant. Her owners, upon finding out Smudge was pregnant, kicked her out of the house. She was on her own for a period of time, and eventually got into the neighbors house. The neighbors owned a huge Maine coon cat named Tubby, he was to be the father of Smudge's kittens. The neighbors looked after Smudge for a while and decided to put her on Craigslist. This is where Smudge's life was about to change forever and for the better.

Smudge didn't know at the time that she was about to meet her guardian angel. A lady named Shelly had created an organization called Tiny Kittens in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. Its mission and purpose was to rescue kittens and put them up for adoption. Shelly found Smudge on Craigslist and nursed her back to health. This is when Smudge became Dorothy. On November 17, 2014, Dorothy gave birth to 6 main coon kittens via live stream. On February 6, 2015 we officially adopted Dorothy to her forever home. Dorothy resides with nine other black cats.
